Mushroom is our family favorite, so I prepare different mushroom recipes quite often. This is a very easy recipe, which can be prepared with very few basic ingredients. Beat part of this recipe is, it can be prepared very easily.
Ingredients:
- Mushroom – 300 gms
- Matar or Green Peas – 1 cup
- Ginger – Garlic Paste – 2 tsp
- Tomato – ½ cup (Pureed)
- Cumin Powder – ½ tsp
- Coriander Powder – ½ tsp
- Turmeric Powder – ½ tsp
- Red Chilli Powder – ½ tsp
- Kashmiri Red Chilli Powder – ½ tsp
- Garam Masala Powder – ¼ tsp
- Cumin – ½ tsp
- Green Chilli – 2 (Finely chopped)
- Sugar – ¼ tsp
- Salt – To taste
- Bay Leaf – 2 nos
- Refined Oil – 2 Tbsp
- Fresh Cream – 2-3 tsp
- Chopped Coriander Leaf – A handful
Steps:
- Wash and clean the mushroom and cut them into quarters.
- Heat 1 Tbsp oil in a wok or kadai. Add the mushroom pieces and sauté on high heat for couple of minutes. Take out in a bowl.
- In the same kadai add 1 Tbsp more oil. Add bay leaf and cumin seeds. Stir for few seconds.
- Add ginger garlic paste and cook till raw smell goes off.
- Next add all the powder masalas and tomato paste. Cook till oil separates.
- Add green peas. Sauté for few minutes.
- Add chopped green chilli, suagr, salt and ½ cup warm water. Cover and let peas cooked.
- Remove the cover and add sautéed mushroom and garam masala powder. Mix everything well. Cook for another couple of minutes.
- Finish with fresh cream and chopped coriander leaf.
- Serve hot with roti or pulao.
