Banana Bread Pancake

I promised that I’ll post some healthy breakfast recipes. After I posted some fried breakfast like ‘Poori n Chane ki Sabzi’ some of my friends started asking me how I have posted this delicious yet not so healthy recipe! Now a days everybody is health conscious so I thought of posting two pancake recipe …. One is Oats Pancake and second is Banana Bread Pancake. This pancake is slightly sweet in taste and goes very well with some sweet-n-sour Pineapple Reduction and some Caramelised Banana. If you like sweet pancakes, you can also try ‘Fresh Banana Pancake’.

¼ cup Whole Wheat Flour
½ cup Quick Cooking Oats
1 tsp Sugar
½ tsp Baking Powder
2 Fully Ripe B anana
1 Egg
½ – ¾ cups Fat-free Milk
1 Tbsp Yogurt
1 Tbsp Butter
1 tsp Brown Sugar


  1. Mash 1 banana in large bowl; whisk in egg, milk and yogurt. Add dry ingredients and mix well.
  2. Ladle batter into hot skillet, using ¼ cup batter for each pancake. Cook until bubbles form on tops, then turn to brown other sides.
  3. Slice remaining banana. Melt butter in a pan, sprinkle brown sugar. Let it caramelize and then add the banana slices. Coat well. Serve pancakes with caramelized banana slices.
  4. Grate pineapple. Boil grated pineapple with sugar (I have used brown sugar) and little salt. You can preserve it for 1 month. Serve with pancake, yogurt or with toast.
